
This norm is stipulated in the Regulation on the procedure for developing a project and plan for planting fruit trees, berry bushes and strawberries. The Regulation was submitted for public consultations by its developer, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
Application of the new regulations will be mandatory. And the aim is to protect and increase the efficiency of investments of both agricultural producers and the state (subsidies).
The document prescribes requirements for the project and/or planting plan, their structure, the procedure for transferring to the terrain, land plots for planting and others.
According to the project, before planting, a project and planting plan will be developed, taking into account soil and climatic conditions, biological characteristics of species and varieties, economic efficiency, local traditions and modern market requirements. Irrigation systems will also be provided for plantations (except for walnut, almond, hazelnut orchards and products intended for processing).
Implementation of the Regulation will ensure efficient use of agricultural land in accordance with modern trends in the horticultural sector, and will also prevent the uprooting of plantations before the expiration of their useful life.
Consultation on the draft will continue until April 15, 2026.
