
The upcoming auction will include contracts for the construction of onshore wind turbines with a total capacity of up to 173 MW and energy storage systems with a total capacity of at least 44 MWh.
This is the first time that energy storage has been included in Moldova’s renewable energy tenders, which is intended to increase the flexibility and reliability of the national grid.
The application period is scheduled for January-March 2026, and the winners are expected to be selected in June.
