The event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the NBM office in Chisinau, under the motto “Museums shape the future”.
Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the history and symbolism of the national currency, learn more about the central bank’s activity and how its decisions affect the daily life of citizens. The excursion offers an immersive atmosphere in which financial culture is harmoniously combined with the cultural symbols and values of the state.
“We reopen the doors of the National Bank on the European Night of Museums to offer the public our experience in which currency reveals its history and historical heritage becomes a source of reflection. Each exhibit bears the stamp of our evolution and the values that define us: stability, trust, education. In this space, culture and knowledge are naturally intertwined, giving meaning to the symbols of the past and pointing a clear direction for the future. The true strength of an institution is expressed in its ability to generate thoughts and build trust”, explains the initiative the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu.
