
The Ministry of Finance supported the draft law providing for the introduction of tax and customs privileges. The document also provides for tax exemptions for domestic supplies of goods and services required for the project’s implementation.
The Higher Education project is financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The total amount of funds is about 30 million euros (loan) and $8.5 million (grant). Funding is directed towards modernization of the higher education system, development of scientific research, digitalization of university management, support for young scientists and creation of new research and innovation centers, including an agrarian area at the Technical University of Moldova.
The project implementation period is set until December 31, 2029.
