Lydia Ababiy
The decision was taken at the last cabinet meeting on December 29.
Until now, Lidiya Ababiy has served as deputy director of the Customs Service, and previously as head of the Revenue and Customs Control Department. She has accumulated more than 15 years of professional experience in the customs sector. Her activity in the CU was mainly related to the modernization of the customs administration’s activity, as well as to the European integration process, including the harmonization of the national legislation with the European standards and the strengthening of international cooperation.
Lidia Ababiy has a higher legal education and a Master’s degree in constitutional and administrative law, which she defended at the Academy of Public Administration.
The position of Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance was previously held by Ana Luca, appointed on July 5, 2023. She will continue her activity in another state agency.
