The MHI Fund has been adjusted by 200 million

Such amendments to the law on mandatory health insurance funds were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers this week. Earlier, these funds were approved for the current year with revenues and expenditures amounting to 17.4 billion lei.

The amendments were worked out in order to clarify the incomes and expenses of the compulsory health insurance funds, based on the results of the analysis of the funds’ activity indicators in the current year, as well as in line with the established priorities in the provision of necessary medical services to the population.

As a result, the revenues and expenses of the compulsory health insurance funds for 2025 will be increased by more than 1 per cent, while their share in the GDP will amount to 5 per cent.
