Another 7% of the survey have no clear opinion on this issue. The opinion poll was conducted by the Romanian Center for Urban and Regional Sociology (CURS) and its results were quoted by adevarul.ro.

The survey was conducted according to the principle of representative sampling. It involved 1,067 respondents representing the adult population living in Romania, aged 18 years and older. The data were collected using the CATI method (computer-assisted telephone interviews) between January 14 and 23, 2026.

The sample is probability, multistage sampling with a maximum margin of error of ±3% at 95% confidence level. The data were checked against the latest NSI statistics and weighted according to the age of the voters.

They indicate that there is a majority of citizens surveyed who support the association. At the same time, it also captures a significant level of opposition to the idea, which indicates a strong polarization of public opinion in Romania.
