The competition was held among women’s and men’s pairs. The winners of the Moldovan Cup were Valeria German and Daria Usatova, who defeated Natalia Andrianova and Valeria Stefan in two games (21:12, 21:19) in the final match. A week before, the winners took second place in the Chișinău Open 2025 tournament, which was the last preparation for the Cup.
Daria Usatova said in an interview with Moldova 1 that the victory motivates her to continue training and to strive for victories at European tournaments. In turn, her tandem partner Valeria German expressed gratitude to all participants and was satisfied with the organization of the tournament.
Among men the victory was celebrated by Daniil Didorchuk and Alexey Usatov. The pair in three games (17:21, 21:19, 15:10) defeated the recent winners of the Chisinau Open Championship Roman Dudicov and Maxim Korsakov.
Alexei Usatov admitted that the tournament was quite difficult for him and his partner, as many opponents offered worthy resistance. He said that they managed to approach the tournament as prepared as possible, which allowed them to achieve their goals.
The beach volleyball season in Moldova will be closed by the tournament “Regele Plajei” (“Kings of the Beach”), which will be held from August 29 to 31 in the capital.
