The Cabinet of Ministers remembered about industrial platforms

In this way, the Cabinet of Ministers confirms that everything new is the well-forgotten old. In 2020, the Moldovan government already adopted a program to create 18 MPPs in different regions of the country. They were designed to stimulate industrial production at the local level and attract investments. The program was even partially implemented, budget money was allocated to prepare the relevant sites and create the necessary infrastructure. But then it was safely forgotten about.

The new program will detail the goals and objectives, eligibility criteria for the creation and development of IPPs, the implementation period (2025-2028), financing, as well as the stages, implementation and supervision of the program.

This was announced by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization Viorel Garaz at a meeting with the leadership of the Congress of Local Communities (CALM), where the prospects of financing the MPP through the EU Growth Plan for RM for 2025-2027 were discussed.

The program will be aimed at creating and developing technical and production infrastructure for at least 4 MPPs, attracting investments within each MPP in the amount of at least 20 million lei or registering at least 7 residents, as well as socio-economic development of the administrative-territorial unit where the MPPs are established.

A representative of CALM will be included in the Steering Committee of the Program.

Within the EU Development Plan for Moldova, financial resources in the amount of 250 million lei are envisaged for the establishment of MSPs, including 50 million lei for 2025.
