The budget of the State Chancellery increased to almost 1 billion lei

In 2026, the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova will receive 943.5 million lei from the state budget, which is almost 60% more than at the beginning of last year, Logos Press reported.

The budget of the State Chancellery increased to almost 1 billion lei

The main part of the budget goes to public services: government execution – 187.9 million lei, support for the government’s activity – 234.6 million lei, digitalization of the administration – 273.6 million lei, reform of the state administration – 170 million lei, etc.

According to the Budget Law for 2026, the budgets of other main state institutions in the country have also increased.

The expenses and non-financial assets of the Presidential Apparatus will total 44.3 million lei (+4.3%), of the Secretariat of Parliament – almost 229 million lei (+6.3% of the amount approved a year earlier), of the Constitutional Court – 38.2 million lei (+7), of the Court of Accounts – 80.6 million lei (+7.6%).

Among the ministries, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is the most “monetary” with a budget of 22.08 billion lei, the bulk of which will be spent on social protection of the population. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains the “poorest” – less than 679.5 million lei. “Promotion of national interests through diplomatic service institutions” will be the main item of the Foreign Ministry’s expenses.

The budgets of other ministries were distributed as follows:

– Ministry of Health – 10 billion lei;

– Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development – 6.6 billion lei;

– Ministry of Internal Affairs – 5.4 billion lei;

– Ministry of Education and Research – 4.6 billion lei;

– Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry – 3.6 billion lei;

– Ministry of Finance – 2.4 billion lei;

– Ministry of Defense – 2.1 billion lei;

– Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization – 1.97 billion lei;

– Ministry of Justice – 1.9 billion lei;

– Ministry of Environment – 1.6 billion lei;

– Ministry of Energy – 1.5 billion lei;

– Ministry of Culture – 1 billion lei.
