
The results were obtained after the heating season, during which the company operated at full capacity. According to Termoelectrica CEO Iurii Razlovan, all three power units of CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 and other sources operated without interruptions, recording a 3.8% increase in heat supply compared to the same period last year.
In 2024, Termoelectrica posted a net profit of 3.2 million lei, indicating a positive dynamics compared to the previous period; in 2023, a net loss of 43 million lei was recorded.
At present, all three power units are undergoing large-scale maintenance and overhaul works. At the same time, in partnership with European institutions – EBRD, EIB and others – modernization projects worth more than 326 million euros have been launched. Among the main objectives: installation of 2,500 individual heating points and transition to a horizontal distribution system, which will reduce consumer costs by up to 30%.
It should be recalled that in 2015, as part of the reorganization plan of the centralized heat supply system in Chisinau mun. The merger of CHPP-1, CHPP-2 and the municipal enterprise Termocom into Termoelectrica SA was carried out.
And in summer 2024 it was decided to reorganize Termoelectrica SA by merging/acquisition of Info Bon Ltd. The reorganization project was developed and implemented by the Public Property Agency, the sole shareholder of the state-owned enterprise Termoelectrica S.A.
