
The financing is provided by the Government of Moldova with the support of the European Investment Bank during the program “Livada Moldovei” implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture.
A 12 ha training garden is planned to be planted in the fall. Also, hail protection and indirect irrigation systems for 24 ha of gardens will be purchased.
More than 500 thousand euros have been reserved for the consolidation of the livestock component of the educational institution. The money is intended for the rehabilitation and equipping of laboratories at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of TUM.
Earlier, the laboratories, classrooms and buildings at the Technical University of Moldova were renovated and equipped, as well as agricultural machinery was purchased for a total of 4 million euros.
All the investments are made within the framework of “Livada Moldovei”: this program provides for the modernization and equipping of 13 educational institutions within 15 investment projects, with funding of 18 million euros.
In total, the government will invest 120 million euros in the restoration of agriculture. Of this amount, 102 million euros have already been granted in the form of soft loans to Moldovan agrarians.
