During the two years of the program, 70 projects were implemented in the municipality, and the amount of donated assistance totaled over 13 million lei. As a result of their implementation, 45 million lei were invested in the capital’s economy. The number of new jobs reached 578.

“Most of all, the participants of the program direct investments to sectors such as information technologies and artificial intelligence,” says Petr Gurgurov, director of the Municipal Center for Entrepreneurship Development. – There are quite a few manufacturing projects, among which sewing of knitwear and baking of confectionery products are the most demanded. There are also projects on the use of drones in the agricultural sector, video surveillance, and security.

In December 2025, the Coordination Council of the program analyzed the next package of 60 applications, of which 27 projects were approved for funding.

The program assumes a grant of 70% of the investment project’s cost, up to a maximum of 250 thousand lei. They are obliged to cover the remaining 30% of the costs from their own funds.

To participate in the program, it is also necessary to submit a business plan, which demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of the investment project. It is realized only in the capital municipality, provided that at least three permanent jobs are created within two years. Applicants can use grant funding under the program only once.

The program offers young people, migrants and refugees from Ukraine living in Chisinau a real opportunity to turn their entrepreneurial ideas into functional, sustainable and growth-oriented enterprises.

As Petr Gurgurov noted, the projects of Ukrainians accounted for over 20% of the total number of funded initiatives.
