According to the Association Moldova Fruct, the top 5 buyers of Moldovan grapes last month were: Romania – 3.9 thousand tons, Russia – 3.8 thousand tons, Poland – 2.2 thousand tons, Ukraine – 1.1 thousand tons.
Viticulture experts believe that the volume of external supplies of table grapes in October was “not insignificant, if we take into account the relatively late ripening of grapes of the main export variety “Moldova” and the delayed start of the fall sales of these products”.
Operators of the Moldovan fruit market also note that good results of October exports were achieved in conditions of “modest demand for grapes from the Republic of Moldova on the markets of the European Union, and, in particular, in Romania”.
