The money allocated will be administered by the Organization for Business Development (ODA).

The financing agreement signed on February 18 is part of the project “Strong Enterprises and Municipalities in Moldova” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Swiss government.

The project aims to reduce the vulnerability of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to energy shocks by supporting investments in energy efficient technologies, renewable energy and modernization of production processes.

The total budget of the project is about €3.7 million, of which €1.85 million is a grant provided by Switzerland. The entrepreneurs’ contribution to the development of the projects will amount to approximately EUR 1.8 million. The process of co-financing of the companies will be carried out through the non-refundable financial support instrument for SME development – CREȘTEM IMM, managed by ODA.

The financial support for each company can reach up to 50% of the investment project value, contributing to energy efficiency and GHG emission reduction.

Project implementation will take place from December 2025 to September 2026, during which time the selection of beneficiaries, implementation and monitoring of the implemented investments will take place.
