Nilsson and Olsson threw the ball over the net for 17 hours and 8 minutes. To ensure that no one had any doubts that the record had actually taken place, the amateur athletes broadcast it live on video.

Three times record holders

Both enthusiasts made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2024 when they first set the record. At that time, they played continuously for 13 hours and 37 minutes.

In order for the record to be recorded, they had to fulfill a number of conditions. In particular, they were forbidden to take breaks in the game, so they had to have a snack while… exchanging blows.

In two years, the Swedes managed to break their own records twice and for the third time became unrivaled in the skill of continuous table tennis.
