Thus, according to Ukragroconsult, by the end of last week the price for Ukrainian sunflower with delivery to Bulgaria dropped to $620-625/t. According to the Agrocereale association, Moldovan sunflower delivered to the Romanian port of Galati at the beginning of this week is sold at $610-612/t.
Sunflower of ordinary varieties (fat content – up to 45%) for internal processing on the Moldovan market is purchased at the price of 10,300 lei/t, sunflower of high oleic – at the price of 11,400 lei/t (in both cases – including VAT).
If the trend towards convergence of prices for Ukrainian and Moldovan sunflower continues, supplies of this raw material for processing to Moldova will become economically feasible.
