This follows from the amendments that the Ministry of Finance proposes to make to the Regulation on subsidizing jobs. The relevant draft amendments will be considered at a government meeting in the near future.
As the authors explain in an explanatory note to the document, the current subsidy amount does not sufficiently stimulate the employment of persons with special needs. The limits established by the legislation do not cover the costs incurred by employers, including those at specialized enterprises, to ensure working conditions for such workers. In particular, the level of subsidies does not take into account the growth of salaries and contributions, which hinders the employment of such citizens.
In Moldova, employers receive state subsidies through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM)
The regulation stipulates that their amount is determined depending on the degree of restrictions and the category of the enterprise (specialized/non-specialized). The subsidy is provided to partially compensate the wages of the employed unemployed, as well as for the creation or adaptation of jobs.
In order to implement the new provisions, it will be necessary to additionally provide about 3 million lei over the 20 million lei approved in the state budget for the current year.
