This implies a program of support for digital innovations and technological startups for 2025-2030, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. It will be implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Organization and the IT Park of Moldova.
According to the document, the free financial support for technological startups includes two measures. The first one implies their support at the early stages of development and will be directed to enterprises whose annual turnover does not exceed 5 million lei.
The second measure is intended for startups with an annual turnover of no more than 25 million lei, according to the latest financial statements.
Under the first measure, a startup will receive a grant of up to 80% of the investment project, up to a maximum of 500 thousand lei. At the same time, the beneficiary’s own contribution should be at least 20%. Enterprises will be able to cover the capital shortfall from credit sources, including a financial guarantee issued by the Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises.
The second measure will make it possible to obtain grant financing up to 50% of the investment project’s value, but not more than 2 million lei.
The funds will be granted for the purchase of equipment, including the costs of its installation and customization, marketing research and services to promote the product or business, as well as for services to strengthen cybersecurity.
The Entrepreneurship Development Organization will elaborate, within 60 days from the date of publication of the decree on the program, an operational manual, which will define the stages and procedure of its implementation.
