The notice is listed in a special FIFA register. It is dated October 20, 2025, but it became known only now. The ban will prevent Spartanii-Sportul from registering new players for three transfer windows (up to and including the winter window 2027).

The transfer ban is imposed on clubs that have committed financial and/or regulatory violations, such as arrears on transfers of new players, salaries of current or former players, coaches, as well as violations in the procedure of registering underage players. FIFA’s ban measures apply at both international and national levels. The ban can be lifted early in case of full repayment of debts and submission of all supporting documents to FIFA.

Logos Press has previously covered the situation around Spartanii-Sportulin detail . The club’s former technical director Viorel Cojocaru accused the management of “raider seizure” and the foreign investor Nanu Iau Ampons of fraud and tax evasion. According to him, the players are being underpaid compared to their contracted salaries. In a commentary for LP, Cojocaru confirmed the fact that he had applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the NCBC, which “continue investigative measures against the persons who illegally took over the management of the club”.

Cojocaru, who heads the Sportul soccer academy, claimed that the club’s management illegally uses the academy’s resources, although it is not legally connected to the club. He repeatedly asked the Moldovan Football Federation for explanations, but received no response.

According to the results of the first phase of the Super League-2025/26 “Spartanii-Sportul” took the last, eighth place and left the top division. In spring, the club will take part in a transitional tournament with Politehnica-UTM and the four best clubs of the first phase of Ligue 1, which will play for two tickets to the next season of the Super League.
