The press release of the Moldova Fruct Association states that “a direct advantage for gardeners and winegrowers is the exemption from the obligation to submit a hydrogeological report to the inspecting authorities when using groundwater for irrigation of vineyards and orchards”. Now it is enough to have a technical project of plantation establishment and modernization, certifying the suitability of soil and water for irrigation. Also, farmers need to comply with the irrigation norms approved in the permit for special (agricultural) water use. The Association Moldova Fruct provided the corresponding proposals to the author of the draft law (MP Alexandru Trubka) at the stage of its elaboration.
Following the recommendations of Moldova Fruct, the Water Law also removed administrative and financial barriers for households using modern individual water treatment systems.
