The rating includes both current participants of the Moldovan Super League and former ones (see table). The defunct Sfântul Gheorghe (Suruceni village, Ialoveni district) and Dinamo Avto (Bender) were included in the ranking because they participated in the Europa League in 2020. The club from Suruceni also played in the Conference League – in 2021 and 2022.
The UEFA club ranking is calculated on the basis of results in European competitions – Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. The ranking includes 427 clubs from UEFA member countries.
The number of places granted to the leagues depends on the national association’s ranking for the previous five seasons. At the moment, Moldova has four tickets: one for the Champions League (winner of the Super League) and Europa League (winner of the Cup or 2nd place in the Super League), two for the Conference League (clubs ranked 3rd and 4th in the Super League).
