This was discussed during the visits of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) to major enterprises of the country, among which are the Cardboard Products Plant (production of corrugated cardboard and packaging with a waste-free production cycle); MASIVCORP SRL (supply and processing of metal products for the construction and industrial sector); “Steaua-Reds” SA (production of knitwear with a full production cycle for international partners).
The main topics of discussion with entrepreneurs included the tax and customs regime applicable to imported raw materials for local production.
Decreasing order volumes and underutilization of production capacities were also discussed.
The increasing labor shortage was separately mentioned.
In addition, the issue of lack of an effective waste management system was raised.
Entrepreneurs also pointed out the high bureaucratic burden in obtaining permits and approvals for old buildings.
In this context, the business community proposes to consider a more flexible tax policy, fair and incentive tax measures. In particular, it is proposed to address the Ministry of Finance on the issue of abolishing taxes on imports of raw materials intended for local production.
CCI notes that direct dialogue with entrepreneurs is a priority for the organization. It helps to identify real problems in the activities of companies and promote available support tools for business.
