
The repertoire of premieres included dramas, comedies, productions for children and youth, monodramas, contemporary works and adaptations of universal dramaturgy. This confirmed the dynamism of the theater scene in Moldova and the diversity of artistic expressions, the ministry said in a press release.
The largest number of premieres was presented by the National Theater “Vasile Alexandri” in Balti – 9 performances. It is followed by the State Drama Theater for Youth “From the Street of Roses” by Iurie Harmelin – 7 premieres. The National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”, the State Russian Drama Theater “A. P. Chekhov”, the Republican Theater “Luchafărul” and the Theater “Alexei Mateevich” also noted intensive activity.
A significant event of the year was the creation and official presentation of the audio version of the opera “Stefan cel Mare” by composer Gheorghe Mustea and author of the libretto Constantin Keianu, the Ministry of Culture said.
