The text of the decision says that the PAG instructed the Executive Committee of the autonomy “to recover financial means in the amount of 300 thousand lei for the payment of a monetary award to Alexandru Gaidarli from the reserve fund. The PAG Standing Committee on Youth, Sports and Tourism is in charge of control over the implementation of the decision.
Violent controversy
The issue of rewarding the 20-year-old wrestler came up at one of the PAG sessions and caused a heated debate among the deputies. According to nokta.md, many of them accused acting bashkan Ilya Uzun of inaction, while deputy and master of sports in freestyle wrestling Nikolai Dudoglo said that “apartments should be allocated for such a high achievement”.
The PAG deputies voted unanimously in favor of allocating a monetary prize to Alexander Gaidarly. They also threatened all those responsible with resignation in case of non-execution of the resolution.
Logos Press previously reported that Gaidarly for the first time in his career became the European champion in freestyle wrestling for the first time in his career. At the tournament, held in Zrenjanin (Serbia), the athlete became the best in the weight category up to 70 kg.
