The vast majority of the tournament budget ($727 million) will be allocated for its provision. The approved amount is 50% more than the budget of the World Cup, which was held in Qatar in 2022. The minimum payment to the national teams that fail to reach the group stage will be $10.5 million, of which $1.5 million will cover the cost of preparation for the tournament.

The national team that will be the winner of the XXIII World Championship will receive $50 million in prize money, or almost 8% of the total amount. The vice world champions will be awarded $33 million, the bronze medalist will receive $29 million. The team that loses in the match for third place will receive $27 million.

Earlier FIFA announced the allocation of a record $355 million to compensate clubs whose players will perform at the World Cup. This amount is 70% more than in 2022. The increase in the compensation fund is largely due to the fact that for the first time 48 national teams will participate in the Mundial instead of the previous 32.
