The machine scans moving trains and helps to effectively detect undeclared or concealed cargo, enhancing border control and security capabilities without delaying traffic.

In the ensuing discussions, Customs officials involved in the scanning process presented practical aspects of the operation, including the operation of the equipment, challenges encountered in the control process, and technical and operational needs.

At the same time, the system’s level of performance under rail traffic flow conditions and its role in optimizing customs control procedures were analyzed.

Interestingly, this scanner was donated to Moldova by China back in 2018. In May 2018, the Nuctech TMXT 2080AD was installed in the baggage inspection area of the Chisinau International Airport. However, the second scanner has not been fully operational to date.
