The amendments made to the declaration form for the tax on the use of roads by vehicles registered in RM (Forma TFD 19) were published on March 19 this year and entered into force. They are developed in accordance with the new legal provisions related to fiscal policy and are effective as of January 1, 2026.
Accordingly, starting from the tax period of 2026, the owners of such vehicles registered in the country are obliged to pay a levy of 300 lei – for a unit of moped, scooter, motor scooter and 600 lei – for a motorcycle. Also, from 0.6 lei/kg to 1.8 lei/kg – depending on the weight of electric vehicles and special purpose vehicles on the chassis of passenger cars.
At the same time, legal entities and individuals carrying out entrepreneurial activity are obliged to submit, until January 25 of the year following the reporting year, the Report on Road Use Charge for vehicles registered in Moldova. Therefore, the State Fiscal Service supplemented Attachment no. 1 to the respective Order with new items 11 and 21.
It should be reminded that the obligation to submit the report, according to the updated form, applies from the tax period of 2026.
