In parallel, applications are still being accepted for financial assistance for farmers affected by late frosts in the spring of 2025, as well as storms that damaged crops. The deadline for submitting such applications is October 14, 2025, according to a press release from the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
The category of post-investment subsidies includes compensation for investments in the production of agricultural products in protected ground, irrigation systems, storage reservoirs, plantations of perennial crops and livestock farms, infrastructure and processing facilities, among others.
According to the estimation of the representatives of agricultural producers’ associations, based on the experience of subsidizing the previous years and farmers’ investment activity this year, during the above-mentioned period, farmers can submit to AIPA applications for subsidizing in the amount of about 500-600 million lei. At the moment, the 2025 budget of the Fund for Agricultural and Rural Subsidies of 1.9 billion lei has been exhausted. Applications for post-investment and other subsidies collected in October-December will probably be satisfied from the 2026 budget of the said fund.
