
With the support of the Polish government through the BGK development bank, Moldovan banks provide loans in lei and euro to entrepreneurs. The program provides financing for small and medium-sized enterprises to modernize equipment, reduce energy consumption or switch to renewable energy production.
The minimum loan amount will be the equivalent of 5,000 euros, the maximum – 375,000 euros. At the same time, the maximum amount to be allocated from BGK resources should not exceed 250,000 euros, while the rest will be provided at the expense of FACEM, but also with a limit of 2.5 million lei for one project. We would like to remind you that, according to the conditions of the FACEM fund, the annual interest rate is up to 5.5% in MDL and up to 4.5% in EUR, with a maturity of up to 6 years. The own contribution is determined in accordance with the bank’s policy.
Technical assistance from the banks implies free training for entrepreneurs, individual consultations on the preparation of loan applications and business vouchers for 500-1000 euros for the development of business plans.
ODA officially launched another Program to enhance the competitiveness of local producers and their integration into value chains on March 4. It has a budget of 115.5 million lei, which will be largely covered from the state budget (90 million lei). The remaining 25 million lei will be provided by the World Bank through the project “Competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises”. The German Agency for International Development GIZ Moldova will provide the necessary technical assistance.
The program will last for three years. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, 1300 small and medium Moldovan enterprises will benefit from the funds. The financial assistance of up to 2 million lei is intended for the implementation of engineering and IT solutions, as well as preparation for the application of international standards in the production of products and services, laboratory tests, certification, consulting. The program envisages organization of trainings to develop skills in management, including financial management, business planning, marketing, quality management.
