Natural gas rates will be adjusted in early 2026.

According to him, towards the end of the year, final calculations are made, negative or positive deviations are identified, and based on these deviations, companies are obliged to apply for tariff adjustments. Otherwise, this is done by ANRE by virtue of its authority.

Eugen Carpov specified that until the end of the current year, Energocom, which took over the gas supply services, will use the tariffs set earlier for Moldovagaz, after which it will independently calculate and present its expenses for the provision of this service.

Currently, the price for natural gas at the exit points of low-pressure gas distribution networks, to which all domestic and part of non-domestic consumers of Moldovagaz are connected, is 15.5 lei per 1 cubic meter (excluding VAT), or 16.74 lei including VAT. In mid-September, Energocom said that the average gas purchase price for Moldova in the 2025-2026 gas year is projected at about 38.5 euros/MWh (410 euros/1,000 cubic meters), including the cost of transportation to Moldova’s virtual trading point.
