This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, noting that, thus, today, on the shelves of stores in Paris, Milan or New York one can see perfumes and luxury goods packed in boxes made in Chisinau.

The peculiarity of Lux Packaging is that almost 80% of the production process is done by hand, which makes each box unique, made with care and precision. “Brands emphasize quality. And we offer just that: quality,” emphasized Tatiana Friniuc, founder of Lux Packaging.

She noted that she worked away from home in Italy, where she arrived right after graduating from college and was a simple factory worker. “There I learned discipline and attention to detail,” she noted. Her years in the diaspora gave her not only experience, but also the desire to build something in Moldova. “I had a child in Italy, finished my studies, settled well there. It was very difficult for me to come back. But I found a different Moldova, with many more opportunities than in 2004 when I left,” said Tatiana Friniuc.

In 2014, she opened a small workshop in Moldova with 4 employees, training people from scratch. Today, the company has over 100 employees. The company has attracted investments from Italy and assistance through international projects.

“Through hard work and perseverance, we showed the Italians that we can build here in Moldova. They decided to invest millions of euros and bring equipment that few people have even in Europe,” emphasized the founder of Lux Packaging.

For Lux Packaging, success also means social responsibility. The company is constantly audited by international partners who directly check working conditions and talk to employees. “Clients come every 2 years to conduct audits and talk to employees separately to make sure that what we declare on paper is real,” said Tatiana Frinyuk.

According to her, today Lux Packaging annually sells products worth more than 25 million lei and supplies them to the EU. The next target is the American market. “Today Moldova offers so many opportunities. There are grants, projects and support. You only need ideas and courage to realize them,” Tatiana Friniuc said.

This story is part of a national campaign to promote Moldovan exporters in the European Union, launched by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization with the support of the National Board of Trade Sweden.
