This is the largest such green energy park in Moldova. According to the Ministry of Energy, of the total capacity of the park, 24 MW will sell the generated energy at a fixed price for 15 years. Which fulfills the requirements of the auction for the status of a large qualified producer.
Another 26 MW of the generated energy from the Reden power plant will be sold on the free market. The installed double-sided panels have an individual capacity of 715 W and an efficiency of 23%, being the first panels of this type to be commissioned in Moldova.
The photovoltaic park was built in a record time of only 8 months, thus contributing to the increase of renewable energy opportunities.
It should be reminded that over the last five years, the PV and wind generation capacity in Moldova has increased 8 times, and amounted to 689 MW in May this year. In 2024, the share of renewable electricity in total consumption amounted to 16.7%. It is expected to increase to 27% in 2025.
