Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu thanked his fellow MPs and the staff of the secretariat for their work, noting that in 2025, they managed to resist, defend the country and prove that Moldova deserves to be part of the European Union.
“If 2025 was a year of resistance, I wish that 2026 will be a year of consolidation and development. Moldova is no longer at the stage of ‘what it wants to be’, but at the stage of ‘it has the courage to become’. This path is not easy, but the direction is clear. Happy New Year to everyone!” the speaker said. The Parliament meets for 2 regular sessions a year. The spring session starts in February and lasts until the end of July at the most, and the fall session starts in September and lasts until the end of December.
