Vladimir Soloviev
RBC wrote about it. The details and reasons for the wanted notice have not been given yet. It is only noted that the journalist is wanted under a criminal article, and his card has been published in the Interior Ministry database.
Vladimir Soloviev was born in Odessa region of Ukraine. He started his journalistic activity in Moldova. From 2005 he worked in Moscow as a correspondent for the Kommersant newspaper. During the presidency of Dmitry Medvedev in Russia (2008-2012), he was a member of the “Kremlin pool” of journalists.
From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Solovyov headed the online publication Kommersant-Moldova, after which he founded the news portal NewsMaker.md.
It is known that in 2018 Vladimir Soloviev was included in the database of the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”, which usually includes “enemies of Ukraine”. In 2020, he became editor of the website of the Dozhd TV channel, which is considered one of the most oppositional to the Russian authorities.
Vladimir Solovyov’s reaction to the incident has now come to light.
“It has emerged today that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has placed me on a wanted list under a criminal charge. The specific charge has not been specified. ‘Ostrozhno, Novosti’ (https://t.me/ostorozhno_novosti/47775) reports that this is for involvement in an ‘undesirable organisation’. Most likely, this refers to my collaboration with the publication Carnegie Politica. I wrote for them before the start of Russia’s war with Ukraine and I am writing for them now,” Solovyov wrote on his Telegram channel.
