
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, supplies of Russian products to Moldova in 10 months of 2025 decreased by 4.8% – to $165.8 mln. The share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of Moldovan exports decreased from 3.48% to 3%, while in imports it decreased from 2.35% to 1.88%.
According to the results of January-October 2025, Russia took the 8th place in the list of the largest partners of Moldova in terms of volumes of purchase of Moldovan products (after Romania, Turkey, Italy, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Germany, Bulgaria) in value terms. At the same time, the Russian Federation ranked 9th in terms of volumes of products supplied to RM after Romania, China, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Poland, France.
Moldova’s negative trade balance with Russia in January-October 2025 amounted to $74.8 million, increasing by 4.6% compared to the same period of 2024. The NBM data do not take into account trade and economic operations of Transnistrian region enterprises.
