Following the news about the recognition of Moldovan driver’s licenses in France, the news came about a similar agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
Moldova and the UAE signed a Memorandum on mutual exchange of driving licenses. They will be obtained in a shorter time, without additional examinations and with fewer administrative formalities.
The document was signed by Moldovan Interior Minister Daniela Misail-Nikitin and Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Interior Minister. The ceremony was held at the World Forum on Regulation and Justice, which was held February 3-5 in Dubai, UAE.
Moldova has signed more than ten similar agreements with other countries. Among them are Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece, Albania, Lithuania, France and others.
