Pilots over the age of 60 will only be able to participate if the new rules are followed.
The government has prepared a draft decree that harmonizes national regulations with European standards, updates licenses, medical requirements and procedures of the Civil Aviation Authority.
“Aircraft with a pilot on board and vertical take-off and landing capability represent a new emerging technology for which clear procedures for certification and approval of operations need to be established to ensure compliance with safety and operational reliability standards,” the draft says
Previously, such operations lacked a clear legal framework and were partially non-compliant with European regulations. The new rules will make it possible to safely use modern aircraft, improve flight safety and develop medical aviation by ensuring compatibility of national norms with international standards.
