
Parliament ratified on May 22 the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission and the Hauts-de-France region for the Interreg Program (Interreg VI-C) Interreg Europe for 2021-2027, signed on December 27, 2024.
This Program aims to improve public policies and institutional cooperation. It has several priorities – “A smarter Europe”, “A greener Europe”, “A more connected Europe”, “A more social Europe”, “A Europe closer to citizens”, “Better regional governance”.
The total budget of the program is 395 million euros, a non-refundable aid that can be used to implement joint projects based on the principle of partnership. The beneficiaries will have to contribute 20% of the funds for the implementation of their projects. Central and local public authorities, non-governmental organizations, research institutes and educational institutions will be able to use the grant funding. The agreement will be valid for 15 years.
The Interreg Program (Interreg VI-C) Interreg Europe 2021-2027 is being implemented in 27 Member States of the European Union, as well as in Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine.
