The proposal came from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, which prepared a decree to start negotiations on signing a bilateral air service agreement between the two countries.
Thanks to this decision, Moldova will diversify its aviation market through air links with South America. At present, Moldovan airplanes do not fly directly to the countries of the continent. Only options with connections via European and Turkish hubs are offered.
According to the ministry’s information, this decision will diversify the Moldovan aviation market and will improve the investment climate, as well as will open new opportunities for travel, economic and tourist cooperation between citizens of the two countries.
“The agreement will lay down the necessary legal framework for air flights and ensure strict standards,” the ministry said in its information. – The document will regulate such aspects as procedures to maintain safety and security of flights, transparent rules for setting tariffs and obtaining permits for flights, determining technical parameters of flights.”
In addition, the government approved the mandate of an official delegation that will negotiate with the Argentine authorities to finalize the text of the agreement.
