
According to the European Customs Service Taxud, the total volume of yogurt produced in Romania shipped to markets outside the EU last year amounted to 5,419.5 tons, with a financial value of 13,871,839 euros and an average price of 2.56 euros/kg.
The largest amount of Romanian yogurt last year went to Moldova – 4,051.6 tons, with a financial value of 10,549,957 euros and an average price of 2.60 euros/kg. It should be noted that our country has been the most important buyer of Romanian yogurt on third markets and the second (after Bulgaria) importer in general every year.
The second place (among third countries) last year was occupied by Great Britain with 781.3 tons, financial value of 1,914,066 euros, average price of 2.45 euros/kg.
In third place was Albania with 421.9 tons, total value of 1,042,836 euros, average price of 2.47 euros/kg.
This year, from January 1 to May 25, the volume of Romanian yogurt exports to third countries has already reached 2,407.1 tons, worth 6,320,148 euros, with an average price of 2.63 euros/kg.
