Moldova implements EU standards in the field of social inclusion

The draft National Program of Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and Action Plan for 2026-2030 was discussed at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection with the participation of more than 70 representatives of public authorities and institutions, civil society. Persons with disabilities - direct beneficiaries of the inclusive services that will be developed after the approval of the Program - were also involved in the discussion.

The document was elaborated on the basis of the commitments assumed by Moldova within the National Program of Accession to the European Union for 2025-2029, the ministry said. It aims at creating an integrated strategic framework to ensure the continuity of the fulfillment of Moldova’s national and international commitments in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities.

The new program document is aimed at promoting and achieving full social inclusion of such persons by guaranteeing equal and fair access to services, infrastructure and opportunities, removing the existing barriers and encouraging active participation in all spheres of social life in line with the EU standards.
