The opening of the new building and renovated departments took place on May 15. According to the Ministry of Health, the newly built and modernly equipped 760 square meter building houses two departments – pathology and forensic medicine. It will serve not only Hincesti district, but also the neighboring districts of Cimislia, Leova and Basarabeasca.
The pathology service is needed for correct diagnosis, analysis of causes of death and training of medical workers. In parallel, the forensic medical examination service plays an important role in the justice system by facilitating court cases and providing scientific and methodological support in the field of forensic medicine.
The total amount of investments in the construction of the corps is about 22 million lei. The Ministry of Health allocated 10.6 million lei, the Hincesti District Council 9.9 million lei and the National Insurance Company for Medicine (CNAM) 1 million lei. Another 284 thousand lei was invested by the hospital administration from its own funds.
Besides, the hospital’s sterilization department with an area of 80 square meters was completely renovated, for which 740 thousand lei was allocated from the institution’s budget. To improve the safety of medical procedures, the Health Ministry equipped the hospital with a highly efficient sterilization system worth 2.2 million lei, within a Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) project. Such a system is crucial for the prevention of hospital-acquired infections, helping to protect patients and medical staff.
For the first time, the Hincesti district hospital has its own pharmacy with an area of 250 square meters. Total investments in the opening of the pharmacy amounted to about 5.2 million lei.
Since coming under the control of the Ministry of Health, Hincesti District Hospital has received investments totaling about 52 million lei.
