Three young Moldovan kickboxers became European champions in their weight categories. Igor Kerdivar became the best in the weight category up to 81 kg, Alexandru-Ahile Buhaniuc – up to 57 kg and Nikita Baranov – up to 54 kg. Daria Chebotar (over 60 kg) and Dmitry Kolesnik (up to 67 kg) were one step away from the top step of the podium.
The “kopilka” of the national team of Moldova in kickboxing was completed with nine bronze medals. The only representative of the fair sex in this list was Kira Bogomolova, who finished in the third place in the category up to 60 kg. The rest of the awards were won by guys – David Cerba (up to 69 kg), Ivan Ceban (up to 60 kg), Nicolae Burlacu, Adrian Parpeuta (both up to 57 kg), Nikita Bogomolov (up to 54 kg), Ion Kotsur (up to 51 kg), Nikita Novak (up to 45 kg) and Viorel Lozonski (up to 42 kg).
More than 2.3 thousand juniors from 41 countries took part in the continental kickboxing championship.
