The e-Governance Agency introduced this new intelligent infrastructure that is revolutionizing real-time data sharing.
More than 2.5 million messages are processed through the MConnect platform every day. And the MConnect Events extension is an important technological tool that allows government information systems to share changes to registers and databases in near real time, and in an autonomous manner that does not depend on the immediate availability of all participants.
This enables data to be synchronized in seconds, which increases the accuracy and relevance of information. It also opens the way for proactive services – such as automatic notifications of document expiry or legislative changes.
In addition, the foundations of event registers (i.e. information sent by the platform) are being created with increased traceability, full history and advanced analytics capabilities (including artificial intelligence). And it also provides rapid intervention in cases of risk, such as account lockouts or bans applied in real time.
The platform is powered by MCloud, the IT infrastructure used by government agencies. For security, MPass, a system that checks who is allowed access and what they are allowed to do, is used. Thanks to these technologies, the platform is efficient, low cost and can easily scale if needed. Tests have shown that it can handle up to 10,000 messages per second.
According to the eGovernment Agency, the MConnect Events service has emerged from its pilot phase, with four government agencies already active and two operational streams running, currently managing around 1,300 events per day.
MConnect was launched in 2016 and is a national collaboration platform through which government agencies share data in real time, eliminating the need to request documents from citizens and businesses.
