Living standards in Moldova increased by 41%

The European Statistical Agency has published calculations on real GDP per capita growth over 10 years for 37 European countries.

According to this data, this indicator in Moldova grew by 41% or by 1015 euros, which put our country on the 8th place in the ranking of the most successful countries (in terms of growth dynamics).

The first place was taken by Ireland with a growth rate of 75% (+2970 euros). In second place was Serbia with 50% and 2970 euros. In third place is Croatia with 48% and 5430 euros.

Bulgaria in fourth position (46% and 3540 euros), Poland in fifth (45% and 5080 euros). Romania is in sixth, with an increase of 44% (+4040 euros).

Next is Cyprus, where the GDP increased by 8690 euros or 42%, and right after Moldova is Malta, where the monetary indicator increased by 8690 euros (+41%).

The last line is occupied by the prosperous Luxembourg, where the indicator grew by only 1% or 900 euros. At the same time, it was recognized as the richest country in the world in 2024 according to Global Finance, with a GDP per capita of $147.3 thousand.

Also at the end of the list are such developed countries as Austria, Germany, Finland, Norway and Switzerland.

Therefore, Moldova can certainly be proud of its 41% growth, but this does not remove it from the list of the poorest countries on the continent.
