
The ministry’s report on the results of work in 2025 emphasizes that in the coming year the agency plans to consolidate the initiated reforms and continue to make capital investments in equipping hospitals with modern equipment and creating conditions for improving the quality of patient care.
The main priorities of the Ministry of Health for 2026 include:
– Family medicine and prevention, including expanding cancer screening, strengthening the immunization system and developing community-based social services;
– hospital infrastructure development with a focus on regional hospitals and expansion of oncology capacity, including the acquisition of new linear gas pedals;
– digitalization of the health system through the introduction of electronic medical records, telemedicine and patient-centered digital tools;
– continued harmonization with the European Union, transposition of the acquis communautaire and preparation for accession negotiations;
– ensuring health security and public health, including the implementation of the National Emergency Preparedness Plan and strengthening the laboratory network.
