Investment in housing showed growth

According to the preliminary data of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, in 2024, investments in fixed assets amounting to 35.2 billion lei were realized in Moldova, which is by 7.9% (in comparable prices) more than in 2023. Of these, investments in tangible assets amounted to 34.1 billion lei (+8.2%).

Investments in intangible assets amounted to 1.1 billion lei (decrease by 1.1%).

In 2024 compared to 2023, the volume of investments in the following types of fixed assets increased: residential buildings – by 20.4%, non-residential buildings – by 3.6%, machinery and equipment – by 14.7%, vehicles – by 21.4% and other fixed assets – by 26.8%. At the same time, the volume of investments in engineering structures decreased (-15.1%).
