International tennis tournament – for the first time in Moldova

The matches will be held at the Arena Chișinău and the award ceremony will also be held there on June 1.

According to the tournament director, Natalia Belibova, young and motivated Moldovan tennis players will have a unique chance to prove themselves at a high level in their country.

– It is a great honor for us to host the first ATP Challenger in our history, – she told Moldova 1. – At the same time, it is also a great responsibility. We have to meet the highest level, that is why the tournament will have highly qualified referees headed by silver and gold badge holders – the highest referee categories in tennis.

The best Moldovan tennis player in history, Radu Albot, Ilia Snitari and other professional athletes are invited to participate in the tournament.

The organizers of “Moldova Open 2025” are the National Tennis Federation of Moldova in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research. The prize fund of the tournament will amount to $54 thousand.
