At the same time, the beneficiaries of the projects contributed 7.2 million lei of their own funds, ADR Nord said. In the water supply and sewerage sector, projects were implemented to improve access to drinking water and wastewater treatment systems for thousands of residents from Floresti, Soroca, Glodeni and Singerei districts.
In the Floresti district, water supply networks with a total length of more than 14 km, a pumping station and two above-ground drinking water reservoirs, as well as three artesian wells (27 m deep) for water intake from the Dniester River were constructed.
Construction and installation works for laying internal water supply networks from the Dniester River with a total length of about 90 km are being completed in seven settlements of Soroca district.
In Glodeni district, construction and installation works are underway to extend local public water supply services with drinking water from the Prut River. Thus, the construction of a 22-kilometer main water pipeline, two elevated water tanks at the water treatment plant near the village of Balatina and two water towers in the village of Klokocheni Vechi, a water treatment unit (50 cubic meters/hour) and a pumping and chlorination station are nearing completion.
A sewerage development project, including the construction of a 6 km long sewer collector and a pumping station, is also nearing completion in the Synzherei district.
Last year, ADR Nord redesigned the technical project for the completion and commissioning of the Prut-Felesti aqueduct system. This year, after the completion of the open tender procedure, the construction of water pipelines with a total length of 15 km to the town of Falesti and a number of settlements will start in the first phase. The construction of a 1.5 km long main aqueduct is also planned, and the possibility of reconstructing 4.5 km of the already existing main aqueduct is envisaged.
In 2025, significant resources have also been invested in urban development in Soroca, Donduseni and Singerei. In Soroca subzone of FEZ “Ungheni Business”, a 3 km long 10 kV power transmission line was completed. Earlier, within the same project, a gas pipeline with a length of about 4 km and two access roads (2.5 km) with a total area of 6909 square meters were built. At the same time, urban renewal projects were completed in the towns of Donduseni and Singerei, where squares, sidewalks and sports grounds were improved.
